Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club's First Tournament in Greensboro The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club held their annual Sectional Tournament in Greensboro this weekend. Your Eatonton neighbors were delighted with the new site - Greene-Taliaferro High School. As for the many bridge players who poured in from this state and beyond - they were enchanted by our little town. Both the Microtel Inn and the Jameson Inn were filled. The tournament, chaired by Barbanel Borah, also owed its huge success to our home grown assistants. Mrs. Elise Patterson catered delicious meals, Anne Askew ensured that refreshments were provided without a hitch, our two caddies (who aided the Tournament Director) Rashad Abad and Jesse Broadus earned accolades from so many people, I lost count. Beyond this, High School Custodian, Mr. Willie Terrell - put every last ounce of energy he could muster - to ensure that all went smoothly. All made a lasting impression on our guests - who can't wait to return next year. A big ''thank you, Greensboro" from your Eatonton neighbors. |
